Sheriff Kevin McMahill was sworn in as the 8th sheriff of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department on Jan. 2, 2023. His renowned law enforcement career spans more than three decades of service at every level of the LVMPD.

The Mayor and City Council’s mission is to represent the citizens of Mesquite, make policy decisions, have fiscal responsibility and authority and adopt an annual budget, and to serve the best interest of all citizens of Mesquite. 

Councilman Steve Walton was first elected to serve on the City Council in Boulder City, Nevada during 2022.

Carrie Cox was elected at-large to the Henderson City Council in November 2022, representing Ward 3. Councilwoman Cox serves with the mayor and her fellow council members as the legislative branch for the Henderson community.

Michelle Romero was elected Mayor of Henderson in June 2022 and took the Oath of Office on January 3, 2023. She was elected at-large to the Henderson City Council in April 2019, representing Ward I. 

Representative Susie Lee was born to a working family of ten in Canton, Ohio. A product of the public education system, she attended Carnegie Mellon University where she used a combination of scholarships, loans, and part-time jobs to pay.
